   Electric Ireland have a neck . when my wife's name was taken off the meter we were told that it was all clear and we owed nothing ... then a debt collector sends a letter demanding payment . we asked for a fully itemised bill with all payments shown through debt collectors in November but still waiting . I refused to pay until I see in front of me what we owe .

   I WISH TO REPORT ELECTRIC IRELAND FOR HARASSMENT I AM DISABLED WITH A LEG MOBILITY ILLNESS I HAVE MADE AN ARRANGEMENT TO PAY MY BILL IN INSTALMENTS OF 50 EUEO A WEEK AND THEIR STILL NOT HAPPY I PAY THROUGH THE POST OFFICE WEEKLY NOW THEY LOOK FOR THE WHOLE BALANCE TO BE PAID OFF IT'S A SMALL AMOUNT MEANING THAT IT'S NOT IN IT'S THOUSANDS BY ANY MEANS I HAVE BEEN A CUSTOMER WITH ESB ELECTRIC IRELAND FOR OVER 15 YEARS AND NEVER BEEN TREATED LIKE THIS I WILL BE SWITCHING COMPANY IT WILL BE GREAT SO GREAT TO GET RID OF THEM FOR ONCE AND FOR ALL I HAVE PAID THEM THOUSANDS AND DO YOU KNOW THEY HARDLY EVER COME OUT TO READ MY METER AND MY BILLS ARE MASSIVELY OVER ESTIMATED FOR ONE PERSON LIVING ALONE IN A ONE BEDROOM APARTMENT WHO BUDGETS LIKE MAD ON EVERYTHING I'AM BEEN ROBBED LIKE EVERYTHING IN THIS COUNTRY OPERATING ON A SCAM HOWEVER I WILL BE GOING TO THE CITIZENS ADVICE CENTER IN DUN LAOGHAIRE TOMORROW TO REPORT THEM BUT I WILL BE LEAVING THEM FOR GOOD CAN'T WAIT AND ELECTRIC IRELAND ARE SO HORRIBLE AND RUDE TO THEIR CUSTOMERS

   couldn't agree more . never once have they communicated with us before they sent debt collectors .

   I have never answered the call but have gotten one every day for two weeks. I had a prepay meter with EI and when I closed my account(with credit still left on the meter) I got an email saying I owe 149. That's not possible since everything was prepaid for, and I won't be giving them any money.

   Electric Ireland have now joined the ranks of bullies and racketeers, demanding money with threats and harassment. This is after a payment plan had been agreed. This was just the push i needed to switch supplier.

   Electric Ireland have sent debt collectors for money that as far as my advisers have told me are paid in full . I have requested an itemised bill showing all payments in November I was told it would be with me by following week . STILL IN BILL . I am getting very upset about the whole thing . I feel like they are trying to mug me in broad daylight .. thanks for reading and be careful when dealing with ELECTRIC IRELAND !!!

   This is not a Debt collection service as some might believe. This is an outsourced call centre working on behalf of Electric Ireland that will phone you up 4 weeks after an unpaid bill asking you to make arrangements to pay your outstanding balance. The people on the phone are just dong their job, so don't get too personal.

   Wish they would get their facts right though, keep getting calls, asking when my bill will be paid, 2-3 weeks after I've made the payment

   Totally Harass people for very small amounts that are not paid on time,I now have the number in my phone as do not answer and delete any texts they happen to send.

    Answered the call to these people as I didn't know who they were. They said they were from Electic Ireland and that I had an outstanding payment - which I had paid 5 days previous. Didn't listen to what I had to say and then continually asked me for my credit card number. I put the phone down only to be called 3 times within an hour....

    Aggressive, abusive to the point of bullying don't like when you can throw facts and figures in their direction and hang up the phone when you can provwe your side of things. Staff are being trained improperly and the management have a lot to answer for.

    Missed paying an electricity bill by one day as I was out of the country for a number of weeks and it was missed by the person minding the house - 3 phone calls in one morning, the first two leaving rude and aggressive voicemails when I missed them due to time difference. it had already been paid two days previously so their info was old.
